Every Veterans Day, we pause to recognize the men and women who answered the call to serve. On Wednesday, November 11th, communities across the country will come together to thank them. At Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD), this day carries deep personal meaning. Veterans work alongside us on our shop floors, in our service centers, and in our offices. Their service shaped who they are, and it helps shape who we are as a company.

This Veterans Day, we want to honor that service in three ways:

• Celebrate the veterans within our workforce and our communities
• Reflect on our more than 150-year legacy of supporting the U.S. military
• Give back through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity’s Acts of Courage program

Honoring Veterans at FMD and in Our Communities

Our veterans embody the values of service, duty, and honor. They bring discipline, leadership, and a mission-first mindset to everything they do. These qualities make our teams stronger and our work more personally tied to the industry.

Each Veterans Day, FMD facilities pause to honor the brave men and women who have served and who continue to serve. Each of our facilities celebrate our veterans in different ways. These gatherings give us a chance to share stories, express gratitude, and strengthen the bonds between our company and the communities we call home.

Veterans gave so much to protect our freedoms and we believe every veteran and civilian deserves a safe, stable place to call home. That belief is why FMD is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity’s Acts of Courage program. Acts of Courage focuses on serving veterans and their families through housing and community support. The program helps veterans access safe, decent, and affordable housing. It also brings volunteers and neighbors together to show gratitude in a lasting, practical way. For many veterans, a home repair or a stable place to live can make a life-changing difference.
