This course is one week in length. It consists of the first week of the two-week overhaul course. Approximately 70% of the student's time is spent performing hands-on training with various engine components. The engine lab is equipped with connecting rods, cylinder heads, pistons, injection nozzle, fuel pump, main and con rod bearings, housed in an 8-cylinder training engine. The other 30% of the student's time is spent in the classroom covering the technical manual, viewing maintenance videos, and/or discussing components, parts and sub-assemblies.
Customers who attend factory training will be required to take an exam at the end of the course to receive your training completion certificate. You must obtain a 70% or better to get your certificate.
FM PA6B Overhaul

This is a two-week course held in our Chesapeake, VA location. 20% of the time will be spent in the classroom going over individual components and 80% of the time will be in the lab performing removal and installation of various engine components, including a power assembly, cylinder head, fuel pump, injection nozzle, camshafts, drive gear, camshaft thrust and main bearing, Moatti filter, spinner, perform an engine tune-up; including air and exhaust valve adjustments, fuel pump timing and walk-thru of fuel control rack adjustments. The classes begin at 8 AM on Monday and ends before noon on the final Friday.
Customers who attend factory training will be required to take an exam at the end of the course to receive your training completion certificate. You must obtain a 70% or better to get your certificate.
FM PC2 Series Engine Maintenance

This course is one week in length. Approximately 60% of the student's time is spent performing hands-on training with various engine components. It covers design, operation, and basic maintenance and inspection of the PC2 series engines. The engine lab is equipped with connecting rods, cylinder heads, pistons, injection nozzles, fuel pumps, main and con rod bearings. The other 40% of the student's time is spent in the classroom covering the technical manual, viewing maintenance videos, and/or discussing components parts and sub-assemblies.

FM PC2 Series Engine Overhaul

This is a two-week course held in our Chesapeake, VA location for government customers and in Beloit, WI for commercial customers. Please see locations next to each date above. 30% of the time will be spent in the classroom going over individual components and 70% of the time will be in the lab performing removal and installation of a cylinder head, piston and con-rod, liner, injection nozzle, camshaft timing, main bearing replacement, web deflections and perform an engine tune-up; including air and exhaust valve adjustments, fuel pump timing, and walk-thru of fuel control rack adjustments. The classes begin at 8 AM on Monday and ends before noon on the final Friday.

FM PC4.2 Series Engine Maintenance

This course is one week in length that is held at our Chesapeake, VA location. Approximately 40% of the student's time will be spent in a classroom covering the technical manual and maintenance procedures, component ID and control system troubleshooting. The remaining time will be spent performing hands-on training with various engine components. The engine lab contains components from one cylinder including piston, cylinder liner, head, injection pump, and nozzle. Disassembly of these parts including inspections and use of special tools are covered.
